The Menopause

Education for patients and the public

This program is part of the Menopause and HRT patient education series.

The education is split in to three main sections:

Condition – which consists of Definition of the menopause, Diagnosis, The monthly cycle and Symptoms of the menopause (including Early symptoms, Osteoporosis and Heart and circulation symptoms).

Treatment – comprising Management of the menopause (such as Lifestyle, Medical treatment and Alternative treatement) and Contraception (including various details about oral pills, Barrier methods, Intra-uterine devices(IUDs), Injectables, Implants, Sterilisation, Spermicides and Emergency contraception).

Living with the menopause – covering Indications, Contra-indications and Cautions (which covers conditions such as Fibroids, Hypertension, Migraine Headaches, Endometriosis, Diabetes and more).

There is also a Resources section which provides useful contact information and web links, and several printable leaflets.

With a range of animations this program is easy to use giving you a better understanding of the menopause which will ultimately improve your quality of life.
