Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

Education for patients and the public

This program is part of the Menopause and HRT patient education series.

The education is split in to three main sections:

Condition – which consists of Definition of HRT, Benefits of HRT (such as Symptoms relief, Osteoporosis prevention and more), Risks (covering Breast cancer, Endometrial cancer, and Venous Thrombosis) and Risk assessment.

Treatment – comprising of Types of HRT (including Oestrogen, Progesterone, Progestogens, Combined therapy and also Tibolone) and Treatment delivery routes (covering Oral, Non-oral, Vaginal, Patches, Gels, Intra-nasal sprays and Implants).

Living with the menopause – covering Indications, Contra-indications and Cautions (which covers conditions such as Fibroids, Hypertension, Migraine Headaches, Endometriosis, Diabetes and more).

There is also a Resources section which provides useful contact information and web links, and several printable leaflets.

With a range of animations this program is easy to use giving you a better understanding of HRT which will ultimately improve your quality of life.
